Seeking Talent Show Participants

developmental disability living in or attending school/program in Niagara County are invited to try-out for the talent show

All individuals age 14 and above with a developmental disability living in or attending school/program in Niagara County are invited to try-out for the upcoming talent show. Application forms must be returned by DEADLINE EXTENDED TO SEPTEMBER 10, 2014 to be eligible for the mandatory auditions to be held September 17 at 4:30 pm.

Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara’s “Opportunities Got Talent,” an annual occasion featuring the aptitudes of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities through song, dance, theater and comedy in a competitive format will take place on Sunday, November 23, 2014, beginning at 3:30 pm at the historic Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda.

The event is open to the public with a $5 admission. Sponsors for the event include: ARCEU NYSUT/AFT AFL/CIO Local 4265 and Niagara Orleans Labor Council. This talent show affords people with musical or theatrical talents a public opportunity for expression under the direction of James Matteson and the agency’s Recreation Department. A panel of judges from the community selects the winners.
