Seeking Talent Show Participants

Practicing their comedy routine at tryouts in 2012 - The Huntingtons

All individuals age 14 and above with a developmental disability living in or attending school/program in Niagara County are invited to try-out for the upcoming talent show. Application forms must be returned by August 30, 2013 to be eligible for the mandatory auditions to be held in September.

Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara’s “Opportunities Got Talent,” an annual occasion featuring the aptitudes of individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities through song, dance, theater and comedy in a competitive format will take place on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the historic Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda.

The event is open to the public. Sponsors for the event include: ARCEU NYSUT/AFT AFL/CIO Local 4265 and NYSUT. This talent show affords people with musical or theatrical talents a public opportunity for expression under the direction of James Matteson and the agency’s Recreation Department. A panel of judges from the community selects the winners.
