Growing
Success Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement,
achievement, and success have no meaning. ~ Benjamin Franklin As we reflect on how we define and measure success as a human services agency, we need to review our mission. The mission of Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara is to ensure that individuals from Niagara County who are mentally retarded or intellectually, physically or functionally limited have the opportunity to reach their maximum potential, independence and integration into the community. We watch as our consumers grow and strive to reach their maximum potential vocationally, personally and socially. We cheer on their increasing levels of independence. We create numerous opportunities for their integration into the community. Each step of the way, we admire their successes. For more than 50 years, Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara has been providing a family-like environment offering training, employment, residential, recreation (youth and adult), service coordination, school to work transition, health-related and support services to people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, from newborn to seniors, and their families. Meanwhile, as we continue to focus on educating and training our dedicated employees, we applaud their personal and professional growth. We admire the level of energy and enthusiasm they bring to enhancing the lives of our consumers each and every day. By celebrating our Growing Success we recognize individuals, families, groups and businesses for planting the seeds, providing nourishment and helping us grow as persons and an organization. All future Opportunities Unlimited creations will benefit from the service, creativity and generosity of our friends and neighbors here in Niagara County. P.S. Please call me anytime to discuss your interest in the agency at 297-3600 (work) or in the evening 297-0682 (home). |
