| Fatima Hodge, Direct Care Professional Looking to help others after her retirement from Delphi four years ago, Fatima came to Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara as a residential aide. Fatima genuinely cares for the people who live at the eastern Niagara County location where she works, and will do whatever is necessary to enable them to achieve a higher quality of life. Her friends and colleagues, who are inspired by her example, note Fatimas dedication, positive spirit and enthusiasm. By providing necessary socialization and personal attention, she spurs the development of the residents self-esteem, a trademark of her professionalism. With one particular non-verbal person, for example, she uses innovative methods, teaching him how to improve communication and make his needs known. |

| Marie OHara, Direct Care Professional Marie lived down the road when an Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara house was being built in the late 1980s and thought to herself, What a neat bunch of people. She is celebrating 20 years with the agency this year. I love the interaction with the residents and I wouldnt change this job for the world, Marie says, when asked about her position. On a day-to-day basis she teaches daily living skills, assists with outings and deals with a variety of challenging behaviors from 12 residents. Although she has been offered other positions, she has chosen to remain at this residence. I love the consistency, being with the them through all the ups and downs. she adds. |

| Cynthia Bootz, Manager A role model for all agency employees, Cynthia is impartial, caring, compassionate and even-tempered. Cynthias association with Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara began more than 20 years ago as a bus driver and, in the intervening years, she worked her way up to her current position as associate executive director of human resources. Co-workers and friends note that Cynthias door is always open, and that this very approachable human resources expert is an excellent listener and sensitive and skillful mediator. |

Direct Care Professional Residential 1 (Residential Aide)
Niagara Falls/ North Tonawanda
The Residential Aide provides direct care services to consumers by implementing established active treatment plans and established program services. They provide necessary support and monitoring of consumers to ensure their safety and well-being at all times. The Residential Aide promotes consumer inclusion, individualization, independence, and productivity.
High School diploma or equivalent and one year experience in Human Services preferred. Must have a valid NYS drivers license and satisfy the Agencys driving policy, which includes a satisfactory driving record.

The Overnight Residential Aide provides the direct night/morning care of the group home residents in accordance with the policies and prescribed program of the IRAs & Community Residences. Provides general clean up of house, including parlor, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and family room. Receives and relay information regarding daily occurrences of Group Home to appropriate staff. Read and record in daily log all important and/or significant events, which took place during the tour of duty.

Direct care Professional Residential 2 (ICF Floating Assistant)
The ICF floating assistant implements the Individual Program Plans as prescribed under the direction of Program Management, in various settings (where assigned). Provides assistance in and performs as indicated routine program activities; i.e., personal care needs, meal preparation, shopping, recreational activities, light housekeeping and light maintenance.
High School diploma/GED to include two (2) years experience working in the Human Services field preferred, one (1) year required. Must have a valid NYS driver's license and satisfy the Agency's driving policy, which includes a satisfactory driving record (MVR).
Direct Care Professional-Day 1 (Day Habilitation Specialist)
The Day Habilitation Specialist is responsible for the implementation of services, activities and supports as identified in the consumers day habilitation plan. Will assist in the planning and development of each consumers Day Habilitation/Day Hab like plan, including identification of functional community based activities and experiences appropriate to the consumers valued outcomes as defined in their day habilitation. Position requires stay awake responsibilities.
High School Diploma/GED, plus one (1) year experience working in the Human
Services field preferred. Must have a valid NYS drivers license and must
satisfy the Agencys driving policy, which includes an acceptable driving motor
vehicle record.
Direct Care Professional Residential 1
(Residential Habilitation Aide Floater)
The Residential Habilitation Aide Floater will assist and work in conjunction with program management in the implementation of individual treatment plans as outlined in their HCBs Waiver plans of service consistent with the 3-IPs and consumerism philosophy under the Site Supervisor for participants in the Residential Services Program.
High School Diploma/GED, plus one (1) year experience
working in the Human Services field preferred. Must have a valid NYS drivers
license and must satisfy the Agencys driving policy, which includes an acceptable
driving motor vehicle record.
Administrative Coordinator
The Administrative Coordinator performs administrative and accounting support for multi-functional department. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related to tasks. Ability to interact with all levels of staff in a fast paced environment, remaining flexible, positive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism. Expert level of written and verbal communication skills. Has strong decision making ability, maintains confidentiality, and has attention to detail and problem solving skills.
Bachelor or Associates Degree preferred; must be in a related field (i.e. accounting, finance, business) or equivalent combination of education and directly relevant employment experience as deemed appropriate for position. Minimum of five (5) years experience in administrative support at the executive level. Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software, preferably Microsoft Office environment: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Medicaid Service Coordinator
Lockport
The Medicaid Service Coordinator is responsible for actively assisting assigned consumers in obtaining necessary and desired services and supports from various OMRDD & Community providers that help the person to achieve or maintain their personal goals (i.e., valued outcomes). Uses a person centered planning process for development and maintenance of Individual Service Plans (ISP) and coordinates and monitors implementation of the ISO with all involved providers.
Master's degree in health or human service field and experience in counseling, case management, and rehabilitation; or Bachelor's degreee in health or human services field from an accredited program. Experience in counseling, case management, and rehabilitation, etc. of which one (1) year must be with the developmentally disabled populations or as a Service Coordinator with any population.
Mechanic (per-diem)
Niagara Falls
Per diem mechanic will repair, maintain and troubleshoot Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara fleet vehicles to ensure maximum vehicle availability and utilizations as assigned. Will be available for DOT inspections off-site. Maintains, repairs and service records and other information required, including documents necessary for New York State Department of Transportation Inspections. May be required to make calls, drive the vehicles to and from various locations or fuel the vehicles as required.
High School Diploma/GED, New York State Inspection Certification, special training or experience in areas such as D.O.T. standards, to include electrical, diagnostics repairs, and air conditioning. Three (3) years experience as full-time mechanic. Experience preferred with NYS Inspections and truck or fleet repairs. Must have a valid NYS driver's license and satisfy the Agency's driving policy, which includes a satisfactory driving record (MVR).
DAY HABILITATION /PREVOCATIONAL
Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant answers all incoming telephone calls and relay messages to proper persons in a timely and appropriate manner. Handles visitor inquiries, sign in procedures and directing them to appropriate office and staff. Typing, transcribing, photocopying and filing including but not limited to: handles general and confidential correspondence for assigned administrative staff, financial statistical statements, program evaluations and personnel reports.
Associates Degree or Certified in Secretarial Sciences from an accredited program, with one (1) year of experience. High School Diploma/GED with three (3) years of experience. Minimum of 50 wpm typing ability to take meeting minutes. Effective written and verbal communication skills (letter composition, phone manner, interpersonal interaction), organizational skills (filing, scheduling, office procedures). Must have a valid NYS drivers license and must meet the Agencys driving policy, which includes a satisfactory drivers license record (MVR). Must satisfy and maintain a Category III driving status.
FOUNDATION AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS
Associate Executive Director of Foundation and Communication
The Associate Executive Director of Foundation and Communication will oversee operation of the Foundation and implement the fund development program for the Foundation for the benefit of Agency programs and services which include campaigns, events, grant-writing, corporate support and planned giving. Responsible for executing public relations plans, media relations, community awareness, marketing, publications, membership and volunteer functions of the Agency and Foundation.
Masters Degree in Communication, Marketing or a closely related field plus three (3) years experience in fund-raising, public relations, grant writing and/or marketing or Bachelors Degree in Communication, Marketing or a closely related field plus five (5) years experience in fundraising, public relations, grant writing, and/or marketing. Must have a valid NYS drivers license and must meet the Agencys driving guidelines, which includes a satisfactory driving record.

Residential various location in Niagara Falls, Sanborn, Lockport, town of Niagara, North Tonawanda, Ransomville, $8.00 - 9.50 per hour. Hours for work are available primarily afternoons, evenings, overnight and weekends. The rate of pay is determined by the type of residence, the amount of residents in the facility, and whether or not the staff has successfully completed coursework in medical certification. This training will be provided to new relief employees and upon successful completion of the coursework, employees will receive an additional fifty cents per hour.

Day Services Program Wheatfield area - (weekdays/daytime hours only) $7.75 per hour
