INDIVIDUAL RESIDENTIAL ALTERNATIVES PROGRAM (IRA's)

Direct Care Professional Residential 1 (Residential Aides)
Niagara Falls/ Ransomville/Lockport

The Residential Aide provides direct care services to consumers by implementing established active treatment plans and established program services.  They provide necessary support and monitoring of consumers to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.  The Residential Aide promotes consumer inclusion, individualization, independence, and productivity. 

High School diploma or equivalent and one year experience in Human Services preferred.  Must have a valid NYS driver’s license and satisfy the Agency’s driving policy, which includes a satisfactory driving record. 

Direct Care Professional Residential-2 (Overnight Residential Aides)
Lockport/ Niagara Falls

The Residential Aide provides the direct night/morning care of the group home residents in accordance with the policies and prescribed program of the IRA’s & Community Residences.  Provides general clean up of house, including parlor, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and family room.  Receives and relay information regarding daily occurrences of Group Home to appropriate staff.  Read and record in daily log all important and/or significant events, which took place during the tour of duty.

High School Diploma/GED and two (2) years experience in the Human Services field preferred, preferably with the Developmentally Disabled Adults.  One (1) year experience required.  Possession of a valid NYS driver’s license and must meet the Agency’s driving policy, which includes a satisfactory driver’s record (MVR).  Must complete certification for SCIP-R core/Specialized training.  Must complete and maintain certification in medication administration and participate in other OMRDD mandated training.

Direct Care Professional Residential-2  (Residential Program Specialist)
Lockport/ Ransomville/ Sanborn

Responsible to the Site Manager and UTS/QMRP or Program Supervisor for implementing and supervising the every day maintenance and housekeeping tasks and administrative and clinical responsibilities of his/her assigned community residence.

High School Diploma/GED and two (2) years experience in Human Services preferred, one (1) year experience required. Must have a valid NYS driver’s license and satisfy the Agency’s driving policy, which includes a satisfactory driving record.

 

Site Supervisor
Niagara Falls (area)

The Site Supervisor is responsible for implementation and supervision of daily residence operations for assigned residences, including housekeeping, and physical plant maintenance, staff scheduling and supervision, orientation and training, health-related care and medication administration, resident and household finances and development/implementation of resident plan services.  Provides direct supervision to residence staff in terms of task assignments training and paperwork requirements, and all other aspects of staff/resident interactions.

Bachelor’s Degree in an area of Human Services or related field from an accredited program, and one (1) year of experience in Human Service capacity, preferably with the MR/DD population or an Associate’s Degree in an area of Human Services or related field and two (2) experience in a Human Service capacity or a High School Diploma/GED and seven years of progressive experience in a group home setting serving the MR/DD population.  Must have a valid New York State driver’s license and must meet the Agency’s driving policy, which includes a satisfactory driver’s license record (MVR).

INTERMEDIATE CARE FACILITIES

Direct Care Professional Residential-2 (Behavioral Assistant)
Niagara Falls/ Sanborn

The Behavioral Assistant functions as an adjunctive member of the Interdisciplinary Team, participating in and providing input into the formulation of the individual resident’s program plan.

High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years experience working with developmentally disabled adults preferred, one (1) year required.  Must have a valid NYS driver’s license and must meet the Agency’s driving guidelines, which includes a satisfactory driving record.

Direct Care Professional Residential-2 (Overnight Behavioral Assistant)
North Tonawanda

The Overnight Behavioral Assistant functions as an adjunctive member of the Interdisciplinary Team, participating in and providing input into the formulation of the individual resident’s program plan.  The Overnight Behavioral Assistant provides direct care to consumers primarily during the night hours in accordance with the policies and prescribed program of the ICF.

High School Diploma/GED to include two (2) years Human Services experience preferred, one (1) year required.  Preferred:  Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license and satisfaction of the Agency’s Driving Policy, which includes s satisfactory driver’s license record (MVR).  May on occasion be required to drive consumers or Agency vehicle.  Will not be required to drive consumers or Agency vehicles if not in possession of a valid NYS driver’s license or if not having met the Agency’s Driving Policy.

Direct Care Professional – Residential 2 (Program Instructor)
Sanborn

The Program Instructor actively functions as an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team member to collaboratively plan, develop, and implement Individual Program Plans in accordance with Intermediate Care Facility regulations, the “ 3 IP’s” and the “5 Governing Principles”. Responsible for the on-site development and maintenance of all Individual Program Plans, goals and services.

High School Diploma/GED with one (1) year Human Services experience working with the Developmentally Disabled required. Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license and satisfaction of the Agency’s Driving Policy, which includes s satisfactory driver’s license record (MVR).

Direct Care Professional – Residential 2 (Floating Behavioral Assistant)
Sanborn/Niagara Falls/North Tonawanda

The Floating Behavioral Assistant implements the Individual Program Plans as prescribed, including tracking consumer programs.  Provides assistance in and performs as indicated routine program activities; i.e., personal care needs, meal preparation, recreational activities, light housekeeping and light maintenance.  Transports, accompanies, and assists consumers in shopping trips, medical appointments, family visits, day programs and recreational activities.

High School Diploma/GED to include two (2) years experience working in the Human Services field preferred, one (1) year required.  Must have a valid NYS driver’s license and must satisfy the Agency’s driving policy, which includes an acceptable driving motor vehicle record (MVR).

Physical Therapist
Niagara Falls

The Physical Therapist actively functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (ITT) to assess individuals, develop, and implement individual program plans in the area of Physical Therapy in accordance with appropriate State/Federal regulations.

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited College/University. One (1) year experience in working with the developmentally disabled, or has specialized training preferred. Currently licensed in Physical Therapy by the State of New York. Must have a valid New York State driver’s license and must meet the Agency’s driving policy, which includes a satisfactory driver’s record (MVR).

Direct Care Professional – Day 2(Floating Vocational Services/Environmental Services Assistant/NISH)
Lockport/ Niagara Falls

The Floating Vocational Services/Environmental Services Assistant/NISH is responsible for assessing, training and supervising all environmental services workers for janitorial, lawn care and snow removal.  Responsible for setting up, cleaning up and monitoring work tasks (including quality) for consumers in Environmental Services operations for both day and night contracts.

High School Diploma/ GED, to include two (2) years environmental experience preferred, one (1) year required.  Must have a valid NYS driver’s license and must satisfy the Agency’s driving policy, which includes an acceptable driving motor vehicle record (MVR).

Residential – various location in Niagara Falls, Sanborn, Lockport, town of Niagara, North Tonawanda, Ransomville, $8.00 - 9.50 per hour.  Hours for work are available primarily afternoons, evenings, overnight and weekends.  The rate of pay is determined by the type of residence, the amount of residents in the facility, and whether or not the staff has successfully completed coursework in medical certification.   This training will be provided to new relief employees and upon successful completion of the coursework, employees will receive an additional fifty cents per hour.

Residential Habilitation- various locations in Niagara Falls,  Gasport, Lockport, and North Tonawanda $8.50 per hour

Day Services Program – Wheatfield area -  (weekdays/daytime hours only) $7.75 per hour

Relief Registered Nurse  - various locations in Niagara Falls, Lockport, North Tonawanda, and Sanborn, Ransomville and Wheatfield.  $15.00 – 20.00 per hour

Relief Licensed Practical Nurse  - various locations in Niagara  Falls, Wheatfield, Lockport, North Tonawanda, and Sanborn. $13.00 per hour
